Last month I wanted to go and visit Japantown in San Fransisco and also visit the Japanese Tea Garden. I’ve been wanting to go check it out for many years, but I never actually took the time to go. It’s located inside Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. It is the oldest Japanese garden in the United States that is open to the public.

The garden is really breathtaking with native Japanese plants, koi pond, stepping stones, pagodas, and an arched drum bridge. The bridge is well over 100 years old! I want to come back and visit again in the springtime when the cherry blossom trees are blooming.

Bruce really loved this bridge. He did NOT want to leave.

In the middle of it all is a Japanese tea house, and gift shop. The tea house serves all types of green tea that you can imagine, plus traditional sweets and some snacks. I tried the matcha and loved it. Bruce was really into the mochi, and we ended up needing to order another plate. ????

I stole this picture from Atticus. ????

Here is a bonus picture from when we went to the train sushi place later that day. Bruce loves his noodles.
